Some. Most dhampirs are from dhampir women and moroi men who fool around with them and leave later on. That's the reason that there are so few women guardians anymore. They've all decided to raise their kids and such. I'm one of the few left that I know of. Most of my friends are guys seeming as not many women end up as guardians.

There's moroi, who are full blood vampires. Strigoi are vampires that are nearly impossible to kill. it's possible, but difficult. They're your typical stereotype of a vampire.

What makes the strigoi different from the moroi?

A strigoi is white pale and cannot go out in the sun. They enjoy the thrill of killing people. They also lose the element they specialized in if they were a moroi before. They're a lot faster and stronger, even to us dhampir. A newborn can cause extensive damage alone. That's not counting someone who's been a strigoi for years. They do a lot more damage. They're nearly impossible to kill. If you hesitate around a strigoi, chances are you're dead.

A moroi, however, is usually royal, but not all of them are. They specialize in an element when they're about 14-16 years old. They can go in the sun, but they'll feel very uncomfortable over time. They do need blood, but they don't kill. Us dhampirs protect moroi from strigoi.

It's fine. I've told Minato about it, too. It's not really a secret here, to be honest. Yeah, moroi and dhampir are born. Only strigoi are made. Moroi have to have both moroi parents, though. If it's a moroi - dhampir pair, you'll just end up with a dhampir.
