Ah... That's because we don't use the actual term 'vampire' much. It's usually classified between: human, dhampir, moroi, or strigoi.

Some. Most dhampirs are from dhampir women and moroi men who fool around with them and leave later on. That's the reason that there are so few women guardians anymore. They've all decided to raise their kids and such. I'm one of the few left that I know of. Most of my friends are guys seeming as not many women end up as guardians.
